The ECOGLOW™ Story
ECOGLOW exists because I was tired of watching my parents get ripped off. They bought their dream home in 2020, but the pool's Pentair Globrite lights started failing within the first year. Once the warranty ended, they were shelling out $500+ for replacements that often didn't last more than a season or two. Even when they worked, the pool had a dull look and just didn't "pop" the way it should.
With my background in engineering, I knew I could build something better, so I got to work. I started by testing some overseas solutions that were cheaper than the big brands. While they improved some aspects like using a fully potted design, the actual components were very low quality. The light output was uneven and cast those same shadows and poor light patterns that the Pentair's have.
I knew we could do better. I spent the better part of a year refining my own designs using the best components available. Once I was satisfied, I placed finished units in a test tank and ran them 24/7, for thousands of hours at extreme temperatures. I wanted to be 100% sure I was providing an end to my parents nightmare of replacing pool lights every six months. I shipped the final rendition to my parents, and the difference was even more impressive than I expected. They’ve been enjoying a perfectly lit pool ever since.
Today, ECOGLOW lights are installed in pools all across the country. I eventually quit my "real" job to focus on this full-time because I realize I truly enjoy building products that fill the gap when big corporations leave customers hanging.
The way I see it, if a light isn’t reliable enough for my own family’s pool, I’m not sending it to yours. ECOGLOW is about solid engineering: a product that lasts, outperforms the big names, and comes at a fair price—made right here in New Hampshire.
